Our staff of over 35 people works from local offices in each of our nine counties.
Recognized as one of the most effective environmental groups in the country, PEC brings the strengths of a comprehensive strategy to our work of caring for this extraordinary place.
PEC focuses on Albemarle, Charlottesville, Culpeper, Clarke, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Orange, Madison and Rappahannock although our work often involves issues of regional, statewide or national scope.

The seven week program provides college students with a comprehensive exposure to PEC's work in the Piedmont region and Virginia through hands-on projects, discussions, field trips & more.

These camps have inspired children with a sense of wonder and appreciation for their natural surroundings. PEC's Natural History Day Camp partners include garden clubs, soil & water conservation districts, and county parks and recreation departments.
